The company has acquired the Sugarloaf Property in New Mexico, the property border’s the Tyrone copper mine (one of the longest operating mines in the USA), owned & operated by Freeport McMoRan (2nd largest copper producer in the world) and is only 500 meters from Freeport’s new western mine extension of the Tyrone mine. Black Pine is led by Richard R. Kern, B.Sc., M.Sc., P. Geo: Director & Project Manager, has held executive and management level positions in companies such as Western North America Mining, Inc., Homestake Mining Company, Superior Oil, and U.S. Geological Survey. Areas of expertise include establishing base and precious metal exploration programs throughout North America, with an emphasis on Western U.S. and Mexico. Mr. Kern’s is solely responsible for the discoveries below:
- Moss Gold Mine, in northwestern Arizona, owned & operated by Elevation Gold (TSX.V: ELVT).
- The Bonnie Claire Lithium Project, in Nevada, the world’s 3rd largest lithium clay and hard rock deposit, owned & operated by Nevada Lithium (CSE: NVLH).
